There are space marines, orcs, eldars, brutal men in power armor and with huge chain swords at the ready, tons of pathos, seasoned with liters of blood … that they can have in common? The answer is the game Warhammer 40,000: Regicide.

Such a combination of classical chess and brutal step -by -step battles opens up completely new tactical prospects. Here, to substitute, for example, a horse under the fire of a queen does not mean losing it. If the queen was already pretty touched before that, then the horse immediately, in the phase of the initiative, can turn it into bloody scraps. Or he will inflict a critical blow to the enemy in close combat, so that then some of your paws finish him with one shot.

All this is accompanied by a very correct atmosphere: a harsh march sounds in the headphones, and on the screen the virtual operator reaches how your terminator literally breaks the green -skinned meganobe in half.

Therefore, you have to use all your abilities to the maximum. For victories in multiplayer and in the campaign mode, they give out experience, which will then allow you to go to arsenal and learn some new global skill of any side.

The view from above helps to better navigate in what is happening and brings the game to the classic chess picture.

In addition to the unpredictable “random”, by and large, there are only two complaints, and both are interconnected. While there is little content here – only two fractions, three cards. If you do not want to play for bloody angels, but, for example, for Ultramarins, you need to either pay money or play for a long time to accumulate special points – they will unlock new orders of the space marines and orc clans for free. Moreover, they are nothing other than the color of the armor, do not differ from each other. However, the game is constantly developing, and the authors promise to add new races, campaigns and abilities in the future.

Nevertheless and now Warhammer 40,000: Regicide Fascinates: the developers actually gave us two games in one and provided a unique opportunity to play chess according to the brutal rules of this harsh universe, where the elephant who put the shah to the king may well be torn to shreds with the nearest pawn.
