The narrative leads the player to the idea that the boy may be subjected to physical violence from his father, most likely because of his problems with alcoholism and inability to control the anger.

At the end of this chapter, Chris wakes up his father, as he told him. Charles is still very drunk and falls twice, the second time it hit the table. He swears and screams at Chris. Neighbor Claire Raindolds goes for a walk and hears excitement. She calls the doorbell, and the angry Charles sends the boy to the door, telling him to find out who came. Chris and Mrs. Reynolds are talking, and history changes depending on how their conversation is going on. After she leaves, Charles continues to scream at his son and accuses him of Emily’s death, saying that if not for him, then she would not go by car. He immediately apologizes and says that he did not want to offend him, but Chris refuses to believe him and runs out of the house in socks in his house on a tree.

During fast and angry steps on the stairs that leads to the house, one board is broken down, and Chris falls. Before falling in the snow, it slows down in flight and stops. Chris, completely surprised by this, and slowly lands on the snow. He gets up, examines himself, still completely bended regarding this “power”, which kept him from injuries, looks at his hands. Then he notices that two children in the backyard of the Reynolds were waving to him. Chris waves in response.

I don’t know who, but I cried at that moment. This screen was made when Chris climbed through the labyrinth and opened the box with memorable things, there was a photo of his mother who died, I looked at Chris and felt this pain. A very touching moment.
